Meet the Staff

Professor Zenix James (pr_zen)

Exciting!

A little about myself. I used to be a Prefect, but I hated the OWLs so much, I decided to find a loophole. So, here I am as a professor. Terrifying idea. I belong to the house of Gryffindor, where I have been for many, many, many years. Let's face it. I'm ancient around HOL. Also, since my name is gender neutral, most people think I'm male, but I am, in fact, a classy lady with an interesting and good sense of humor. Plus, I'm very strange.

I take a lot of pleasure in thinking outside the box and thinking about things most people would pass over in a careless glance. A good deal of that will show throughout this class as we discuss and learn about magic, the non-magical world, and their existence within our truly magical world.

In my real life, I have a degree in Criminal Justice and am returning soon to University to continue my education to become a teacher.

I am very much looking forward to a great term and hope you can take something new and intriguing away from this class. I am also very much looking forward to reading your opinions and ideas, as that is my favorite part of this class.

If there are any questions and you need to contact me, feel free to by any means necessary. Preferably HOL Message.

And please join me in also welcoming the amazing Kim Alting as the class assistant this term!

Class Assistant

Kim Alting (ki1010)

I have the great honor of being Zenix's assistant for this wonderful class! I joined HOL in 2014, and I am currently the Head Prefect of Gryffindor, and co-leader of HOLLERS. I too, like Zenix, have a great sense of humor, and I can be a little sarcastic. Above all, I'm friendly and always willing to help people out! Don't be afraid to ask questions!

In real life, I have a master's degree in Pharmacy. I graduated in the Summer of 2017, and now have a full-time job at the National Pharmacovigilance Centre. It's also why Potions and Herbology are my favorite classes in the Wizarding World.

I hope we'll have a great term together, and you'll learn to look at things differently from taking this class.
